DESCRIPCIÓN DEL ÁRBOL
Descripción botánica
The tree reaches heights up to 30 m, with straight, well formed boles.
Distribución natural
It is reported in Bolivia in the departments of Tarija, Chuquisaca and Santa Cruz.

Descripción anatómica de la madera
Wood diffuse porous. Vessels solitary and in short radial multiples. Vessels exclusively solitary (over 90%). Tangential diameter of vessel lumina 100 micras or less (very small). Vessels per mm2 more than 20 (very abundant). Simple perforation plates. Vessel-r Axial parenchyma absent or extremely rare, non visible with magnifying glass (8x). Rays more than 10 per mm (abundant). Larger rays more than 4 seriate. Heterogeneous rays and/or multiseriate heterogeneous rays. Body ray cells procumbent with mostly 2 to 4 rows of upright and/or square marginal cells (Kribs-II). Septate fibers present. Fibers with simple to minutely bordered pits.

Odor and taste are reported to be indistinct.
Color
Sapwood and heartwood are not clearly differentiated. The wood is white yellowish in color, with faint light brown streaks.
