Descripción botánica

The trees are reported to reach heights of 30 m, with trunk diameters of 100 cm. O. javitensis presents 3 to 5 flat buttresses, which are 1.5 m tall.

Hábitat natural

This species occurs in the primary tropical rain forests It is reported to be more abundant and better developed especially in areas between 600 to 1,300 m of altitude. Below 600 m it is usually a small tree.

Distribución natural

Ecuador and Perú.
