IDENTIFICATION DU BOIS

Description anatomique du bois

Wood diffuse porous. Occasionally vessels in radial multiples of 4 or more common. Occasionally vessels of two distinct diameter classes, wood not ring-porous. Occasionally vessel clusters common. Occasionally tangential diameter of vessel lumina 100 micras o Axial parenchyma in marginal or in seemingly marginal bands. Paratracheal axial parenchyma scanty and/or vasicentric. Axial parenchyma aliform. Occasionally axial parenchyma confluent. Axial parenchyma storied. Occasionally prismatic crystals in non-chambered 4 to 10 rays per mm (medium). Rays storied. Larger rays more than 4 seriate. Sheath cells. Prismatic crystals in radial alignment in procumbent ray cells (chambered cells). Occasionally body ray cells procumbent with mostly 2 to 4 rows of upright and/or square Fibers very thin walled. Fibers with simple to minutely bordered pits. Fibers storied.
