Description Of The Tree

Botanical Description

It is a small sized to fairly large tree, reaching heights up to 40 to 50 meters. The bole has a diameter of up to 90 cm, branchless for 30 meters.

Natural Habitat

Pterocymbium tinctorium is more common on alluvial flats, also found in evergreen or deciduous or even open forests in periodically dry locations, up to 1,000 m of altitude. Not enough information available to apply the criterrion.(CITES,?,1997)
