Description Of The Tree

Botanical Description

P. crenatum is often about 23 to 30 m in height, with a trunk diameter of about 30 to 35 cm. The boles are straight and cylindrical, 12 to 18 m long. It presents medium sized to well developed buttresses.

Natural Habitat

Protium crenatum is reported to be found in fairly homogeneous stands in the tropical dry forests of Venezuela.

Natural Distribution

It is reported to be distributed from Venezuela and Colombia through Brazil and Paraguay.
