Anatomic Description Of Wood

Wood diffuse porous. Occasionally tangential diameter of vessel lumina 100 micras or less. Vestured pits. Occasionally vessels per mm2 more than 20. Simple perforation plates. Vessel-ray pits similar to intervessel pits in size and shape. Occasionally intervess Occasionally axial parenchyma absent or extremely rare, non visible with magnifying glass (8x). Occasionally apotracheal axial parenchyma diffuse and/or diffuse in aggregates. Paratracheal axial parenchyma scanty and/or vasicentric. Occasionally two cells pe 4 to 10 rays per mm (medium). Occasionally larger rays more than 4 seriate. Body ray cells procumbent with mostly 2 to 4 rows of upright and/or square marginal cells (Kribs-II).
