Description Of The Tree

Botanical Description

The trees are reported to reach heights of 30 m, with trunk diameters of about 60 cm. They develop well-formed and cylindrical boles.

Natural Habitat

Platymiscium fragrans is reported in subtropical dry forests, growing on well drained soils.

Natural Distribution

This species is reported to be common in the subtropical dry-forests of Bolivia, especially in the departments of Santa Cruz and Beni.
