It has a mild scent while green, but it disappears after drying.

This species is reported to have a fine to medium texture.

It is rated as moderately resistant against fungi, but highly resistant against termites. It has low resistance to marine borers.

Ease of Drying: It is reported to dry rapidly. Drying Defects: Slight risk of cupping, twisting and checking. Casehardening is also reported. Kiln Schedules: Slow drying recommended.
Wood of this species is difficult to cut.
