Description Of The Tree

Botanical Description

It is a medium sized to large tree, up to 45 meters tall but frequently twisted. It is branchless for up to 27 meters, with diameters of up to 145 cm. Buttresses up to 185 cm high or more are also reported.

Natural Habitat

Parashorea stellata occurs in lowland and hill evergreen dipterocarp forests up to 650 m of altitude.
